Windsor, CA - April 11, 2005 - Warehouse 36 has successfully located and purchased the original tooling used to manufacture the AMF Mustang Pedal Car in 1965. The AMF Mustang was produced in very limited quantities from 1965 - 1970 and was highly coveted by Mustang owners and kids alike. “It truly is an unbelievable story,” said Guy Giordanengo, Vice President of Warehouse 36. All the original tooling is present and accounted for and production of this historic pedal car is scheduled to begin in the very near future. He went on to say, “Extensive research has been done to ensure that the new cars will be identical in every way to the original versions first sold in 1965.” Under an official world wide license agreement with Ford Motor Co., Warehouse 36 will be manufacturing and distributing these new “Mustangs” as an Official Licensed Product of Ford. The car’s reintroduction coincides perfectly with Ford’s brand new redesigned 2005 Mustang which is currently taking the country by storm. Initially the car will be produced in its original bright red color as well as a brand new dark blue model. Standard features will include all-steel construction with powder-coat finish, adjustable rubber pedals, clear windshield, chrome accents, rubber tires and authentic 1965 markings. “These cars will not merely be a copy or reproduction of the now famous AMF Mustang Pedal Car from 1965; these cars will actually be 100% authentic originals stamped from the original tooling,” said Mark Luzaich, president of Warehouse 36. “We are really excited about this project and the chance to again offer these rare pedal cars after all these years.
